GAWMT spearheads The Mandela Day Youth Development Initiative, a community-focused event that empowers young people through conservation education, crime prevention, career awareness, leadership development, and positive role modelling.

 

Building on the success of the Keep Kasi Clean campaign, the initiative provides practical learning experiences that inspire environmental responsibility, strengthen community values, and promote healthy lifestyles for youth and their families.

Bringing together law enforcement, conservation organisations, military veterans, educators, rehabilitation specialists, and community leaders, the event creates a united platform to guide young people toward education, service, and opportunity. By encouraging informed choices and positive engagement, the initiative aims to reduce the influence of crime, substance abuse and other social challenges while fostering safer, stronger, and more resilient communities.
